DigEM

MARYVILLE, Mo. – Northwest Missouri State University students had an opportunity to visit Bailey Lauerman and Bozell in Omaha, Neb. last week during the DigEM Club trip to meet professionals in the advertising industry and tour the agencies.

The all-day affair, led by Dr. Jody Strauch, was Friday, March 1. DigEM is an organization at Northwest targeting Interactive Digital Media and Advertising students. The DigEM events focus primarily on digital media; however, all students are welcome to join. DigEM member Cameron Ramaekers helped with the planning process and pointed out opportunities during these trips.

“Students gain insight beyond the lectures and exams provided in class,” Ramaekers, Interactive Digital Media – New Media major from Papillion, Neb. said. “They get a real glimpse into a potential career path and get to network with professionals in the process.”

Transportation and lunch were provided for only $15. The bus departed at 7:30 a.m. from Wells Hall and went directly to the Bailey Lauerman tour; followed by lunch at Spaghetti Works and the Bozell tour at 1:30 p.m. Students returned to campus before 5 p.m.
