Lambda Pi Eta is a scholarly student organization. “Its purpose is to recognize scholastic achievement and to stimulate interest in the field of communication and continuing education,” says Lambda Pi Eta’s President Alison Hartong. Meetings for this organization are held every other Monday. The requirements for membership include a 3.25 GPA in major courses, a cumulative GPA of 3.0, 60 hours of completed undergraduate courses, 12 hours of completed major courses, and be within the upper 35% of the graduation class.
Currently, the group is selling t-shirts for their philanthropy, House of Hope, which is an orphanage in Haiti. Another upcoming event to get involved in is their dodge ball tournament to benefit House of Hope. The tournament will be held on November 14th in the Recreation Center. The cost for each team is $30. For more information, or if you are interested in participating in this event, email Jena Danner, Lambda Pi Eta secretary, at firstname.lastname@example.org .
